We have been monitoring the forecasts throughout the course of the morning and after careful consideration we have regrettably had to arrive at the decision to close the Fair as a result of the gusting winds and the forecast for the rest of the day. The Fair will now close in the interest of public safety.
Our team has been closely monitoring conditions throughout the day, and while we had hoped to remain open, the windy weather is now such that we must begin a safe and orderly closure of the site earlier than normal.
Please begin to make your way calmly to the exits. Exhibitors will begin shutting down as visitors leave — we thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
We would ask exhibitors to refrain from bringing there vehicles onto the fairground until further notice.
Decision on tomorrow’s event will be made at 5:30pm today, until then we fully expect to go ahead as planned.
