One of the most anticipated events in the Highlands calendar, Moy Country Fair is a non-profit event with a long-standing tradition of supporting charitable causes. This year, the Fair Committee proudly hosted a special event at the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness on Friday, 7th February, where both the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) were recognised for their incredible work. The evening celebrated Moy Country Fair’s commitment to giving back, with a £2,000 donation presented to the RNLI and the official announcement of CHAS becoming the 2025 nominated charity.

In 2024, Moy Country Fair selected the RNLI as its nominated charity in honour of the organisation's 200th anniversary, supporting its vital work in saving lives at sea. Frances Beveridge, Community Manager of the RNLI, expressed gratitude for the support, stating:
"It was an absolute pleasure to be Moy Country Fair’s chosen charity during the RNLI’s 200th year in 2024. It was a brilliant opportunity for our volunteers to engage with new and existing supporters, allowing us to share vital water safety messaging such as Float to Live and raise much-needed funds in the process. We’d like to extend our thanks for the additional £2,000 donation, which will help us to continue our life-saving work across Scotland. As a charity, we rely almost entirely on generous donations from the public, such as this one, so thank you."
Looking ahead to 2025, Moy Country Fair is delighted to announce that Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) has been selected as the event's nominated charity. CHAS provides unwavering care to children with life-shortening conditions and their families across Scotland. Their work ensures that children live well, create treasured family memories, and receive dignified end-of-life care when needed. The charity also provides bereavement support services for all family members.
CHAS operates two hospices, Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch, as well as CHAS at Home teams, including one based in Inverness that serves the Highlands & Islands. The charity’s holistic approach includes clinical, emotional, and practical support, from respite care to bereavement services. Ruathy Donald, Community Fundraiser, CHAS, noted her appreciation:“We are delighted to have been selected as Moy Country Fair’s 2025 charity partner, providing CHAS with a platform to highlight the care that our teams deliver across Scotland. This partnership will look to raise funds to support families in the Highland community, ensuring they receive the compassionate care they need.”
James Campbell, Chairman of Moy Country Fair, shared his enthusiasm for continuing the event's tradition of charitable giving:
"Moy Country Fair is a non-profit event that proudly supports various charitable causes each year. We are thrilled to carry on this tradition by supporting CHAS in 2025, with the hope that any donations will contribute towards both the staffing and maintenance costs associated with the CHAS at Home teams that operate across the Highlands region."
The much anticipated Moy Country Fair will return on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th August 2025, offering another spectacular celebration of field sport activities, rural traditions and community spirit.
